چکیده

Abstract Pursuing multiple goals with limited time often leads to goal conflicts that can be resolved by prioritizing some pursuits over others. This research examines proximal outcomes of two approaches prioritization: Goal shelving (temporarily withdrawing from a goal) and disengagement (permanently goal). We conducted an experiment ( N = 214) compare motivational emotional consequences resolving conflict through disengagement. Results suggest are similarly effective at reducing different facets experienced conflict, but people regret less than disengaging them. Together, these findings provide first evidence may allow “have their cake eat it too:” reap the benefits prioritization while minimizing its costs.

KIP determines user plans for the UNIX Consultant System, KIP uses goal conflict c...

Goal Recognition through Goal Graph Analysis

We present a novel approach to goal recognition based on a two-stage paradigm of graph construction and analysis. First, a graph structure called a Goal Graph is constructed to represent the observed actions, the state of the world, and the achieved goals as well as various connections between these nodes at consecutive time steps. Then, the Goal Graph is analysed at each time step to recognise...
